Pottery West’s latest collection Brut takes a minimal, utilitarian form, inspired by the architectural photography of artists, Bernd and Hilla Becher.
The collection takes its name from Béton Brut – raw concrete – a particularly smooth architectural concrete which often shows signs of its material processes such as the grain from the wooden formwork in which it was cast.
In this new collection, Pottery West celebrate raw exposed clay, partially coated in unique lustred glazes to make pieces that are geometrically simple and highly functional for everyday use.
Each piece is available in two glazes – gold and slate. Across the collection you will find mugs, pourers and small jugs with more pieces coming soon.
All of Pottery West’s ceramics are handmade by husband and wife team, Matt and Catherine, at their studio in Sheffield.
